Peru & Bolivia Highlight Tour
First Day: LimaArrival in Lima, reception and transfer to your selected hotel
Second Day: LimaAfter breakfast, city tour of modern and colonial Lima. Tour in a private transportation with a bilingual guide. The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral, Main Square, San Francisco Convent and its Catacombs. In the afternoon a visit to the Larco Museum, this was founded in 1926 and is considered one of the most important in Lima because it displays the world’s largest private collection of pre-Colombian art, showcasing over 3000 years of development of Peruvian ancient history. The exhibitions' primary focus is the culture and art of the Moche dynasty (A.D. 200-700), a civilization that originated in northern Peru in the city of Trujillo. Return to your hotel.
Third Day: Lima - CuzcoAfter breakfast, flight to Cusco, Reception and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon guided visit of the four ruins nearby; the Sacsayhuaman Fortress overlooking the city of Cuzco, a pre Inca architectural masterpiece; Kenko, a rock sanctuary whose main attraction is the monolithic altar representing a puma, the red Fortress of Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, a beautiful fountain fed by a spring forming a series of basins continue to the city of Cuzco; the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, after we can enjoy a nice dinner.

Fourth Day: Sacred ValleyFull day excursion to Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the village of Pisac, founded during Colonial times. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays the Indians barter their products, and artisans from all over the area sell their woven alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, antique reproductions and jewelry. On Sundays, it is also the meeting place for the local Mayors of the region, who come dressed in their traditional costumes, to attend morning mass. After buffet lunch, we will visit Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town which is still inhabited. Then, we head over to the train station in Ollantaytambo to go to Aguas Calientes and stay in the selected hotel

Fifth Day: Machu Picchu - CuscoAfter the breakfast, we will take the bus to Machu Picchu. The tour will be for 3 hr. approx. Machupicchu was built by the Inca Pachacutec, and comprising stone blocks fitted with masterful precision, Machu Picchu harmoniously blends into the mountain landscape. There are many theories as to the origins behind Machu Picchu but three of the most popular ideas include a temple to the sun, a fortress against the jungle inhabitants and a sanctuary for the Incas. This fabulous city holds houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square and all connected by narrow roads and steps, which is surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side which were used for agriculture. We shall visit the Main Plaza, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of Three Windows, the Circular Tower and the Sacred Sun Dial and Burial Grounds. After the guided tour, we will enjoy a nice lunch buffet and then return to Cusco.

Sixth Day: Cusco - PunoAfter an early breakfast, tourist bus to Puno. You will visit several archaeological sites along the way including Raqchi, the tallest Inca monument ever constructed. Puno, lying on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, Puno is also the folkloric capital of Peru. Accommodation at your hotel.

Seventh Day: Lake TiticacaFull day excursion to the islands of Uros and Taquile. Uros, a group of islands made entirely of tortora reeds is home to a small community dating back to a pre-Inca culture. The inhabitants of Taquile are more closely related to the Aymara people of Bolivia than the Quechua Incas of Peru. Return to Puno.
Eighth Day: Puno - Copacabana - La PazAfter breakfast, transfer to the bus station for the tourist bus across to Bolivia. Cross the border, after the formalities, and continue onto La Paz. Transfer to your selected hotel
Nineth Day: La Paz - Tiahuanaco - La PazAfter breakfast, visit to the site of the oldest civilization in Bolivia. Tiahuanaco was the center of a very powerful empire stretching back to before 500BC. Excavations are still in progress but many stone ruins including the sungate and central square are in excellent condition. Visit to the Puma Punka before returning to La Paz.
Tenth Day: La Paz - LimaAfter breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Lima and onward for your connecting flight home.
